Empower with user controlled privacy and multi-level security

Your private key, personal riddles and data and group encryption keys are uniquely generated for every user and data item. Your data is encrypted in your device, during network transmission and in the database. Our privacy features allow you to control your share and connect privacy settings at all times. By default, all our users are private and not connected to any other user.

1

Private Key

Your private key is self-encrypted. Only the encrypted private key is stored in the database and cannot be read in the backend. It cannot decrypt unless re-entered. You can change it any time, and you should once in a while.

2

Personal Riddles

Your riddles are self-encrypted. Only the encrypted riddle answer is stored in the database and cannot be read in the backend. Your riddles act as security gates to your personal network. You must have at least 1 riddle and can have a maximum of 99. Adding more riddles as your data grows will increase your data security. You can add new riddles or delete existing ones any time you want.

3

Data Encryption

Your private key and riddles are used to dynamically encrypt or lock your data and files. This makes every user's encryption unique. As a result your data and files are not readable by anybody else, not even Riddlock's backend team.

4

Share Handle

Your share handle is your only public interface to share or connect. You can connect with other users only if you create your share handle first. When you create your share handle, choose something intriguing so as to not disclose your identity. If you choose not to, you and your data will remain totally private. Your share handle is not displayed to other users, so in order to connect they must first ask you what it is. You can change your share handle any time.

5

Data and File Share

When you connect an item with data and/or files, that item is uniquely re-encrypted for you and the connected user using public-private key pairing. All other items of both of you remain hidden. You can remove any user connected to your data item or disconnect from another user's item connected to you. You may even block a user from all future connects.

6

Private Groups

A group is a network of private networks. It can have unlimited subgroups where data in one subgroup is not visible to other subgroups. Users can be tagged as group admins, subgroup admins or members each with different access rights. Users can be tagged, untagged, blocked or removed any time.

7

External Share

External users are those who do not have an account in riddlock. If you want to share a file, a subset of data or an entire data item, you can post it in both online and offline modes (offline if supported by your device) to an email id or to another app you may have on your device. For sharing an entire item page where you may have multiple data posts and files, you can email the page link with a password for the external user to view. The user will also get updates for any new data that gets added in the item sheet. And you may choose to discontinue sharing any time you want.

8

User Anonymity

Riddlock does not ask for your name, identity, profile, date of birth, gender, email id, mobile number, contact details or other personal data so that you remain anonymous, always! When you connect with other users, its is only your share handle which you disclose.
